Austin Veterinary Care in Forest Hills Offers Seasonal Guidance for Pet Owners This September
The full-service animal hospital advises local pet owners on common fall health concerns and when to seek same-day urgent care.
FOREST HILLS, N.Y. — September 21, 2026 — As September brings cooler weather and seasonal changes, Austin Veterinary Care reminds Forest Hills pet owners to watch for signs of allergies, weight gain from reduced activity, and exposure to ticks and fleas, which remain active into autumn. The clinic offers same-day urgent care during business hours for conditions such as vomiting, limping, or sudden lethargy.
Pet owners seeking a vet in Forest Hills can bring cats and dogs for wellness exams and vaccinations to prepare for the season. The clinic’s in-house laboratory and diagnostic tools provide fast results for conditions like ear infections or skin issues that often arise in fall.
Routine medical, surgical, and dental care are available, along with wellness exams to monitor weight and joint health as pets become less active. The hospital recommends scheduling a checkup if a pet shows changes in appetite, energy, or bathroom habits.
Austin Veterinary Care is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and closed on weekends. New clients receive a free first exam, with terms that apply. The clinic accepts major credit cards, cash, and CareCredit.
